Jo Ralling, Head of Operations
Jo Ralling, Head of Operations

Jo started working in documentaries nearly 20 years ago and got the bug when her very first job found her blindfolded in the back of a van with a gun pointed at her. Having survived being driven to Derry by the IRA she established herself in the forefront of risk taking film making. Her proudest achievement is making a film about Guatemalan street children being murdered which led to the first ever conviction of a member of the Guatemalan police.

Jo was Production Supervisor on One Day in September which won the Oscar after tracking down terrorists that Mossad had failed to find.

At Darlow Smithson she was responsible for the Alive series and produced 10 drama docs shot in dangerous locations in a year.

Her passion to improve the world led her to Jamie Oliver and the Schools Dinners campaign and she has been heading up production ever since.

Gudren Claire, Head of Production
Gudren Claire, Head of Production

Gudren oversees all of Fresh One's production management. Her ability to remain calm and controlled in the face of any crisis can have only come from years of experience making sure great TV ideas actually make it to screen.

In her career, Gudren has made documentaries for the likes of Optomen, Avalon and Diverse including the BAFTA nominated ‘Anatomy of Disgust’ and Darcus Howe’s ‘White Tribe’. She has also set up an indie from scratch working as Head of Production for Form Media.

Thinking she’d left her TV days behind her, Gudren innocently accepted a lunch invitation from Jo Ralling, only to find Jo intent on pulling her out of retirement and into the whirlwind of Fresh One.
